Amazingly I managed to sleep in until eight-thirty on Saturday morning though it hadn’t been a continous sleep. It didn’t matter for I got the rest I needed, I think I needed it anyway. Before I prepared breakfast I went into the garden to open the door to the new toilet to see if it had dried out some more and to leave the door open to aid that. I hadn’t wanted to leave it open through the night to prevent wildlife entering the room, mostly crawling insects which seem to get everywhere. Why have the bother of removing them because you left the room open? During the daylight hours they seem to disappear, probably because they don’t want to get eaten by birds! However it wasn’t a particularly dry day and in fact was still raining as it had been during the night. The rain was light and eventually stopped but everywhere stayed damp. High humidity again which meant a slowing down of the drying pout process in the room. Even so the plaster had dried in most of the room but still remained damp in places. I left the door open for a few hours before closing it again. It would be Monday at the earliest before I would be able to paint the ceiling and walls. Because it remained damp with threatening rain I pretty much stayed indoors and though I wanted to do some garden maintenance I didn’t bother. Perhaps I was getting lazy? Well I do have moments when I simply cannot be bothered so I don’t. There was always tomorrow to do some gardening if it didn’t rain and I felt like doing it. I was just hoping it wouldn’t rain continuously if it did rain because the lawn needed mowing. It had been just another one of those days…………Shirley Anne
